Disciple-Making Groups

Our Mission to make Disciples that make Disciples

What is a Disciple?

Matthew 4:19 is where we get our definition of a disciple.  "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."

A Disciples is someone who is:

  • Following Jesus ("Follow me...")

  • Being Changed by Jesus ("and I will make you")

  • And living on Mission for Jesus ("Fishers of Men")

Disciple-making is intentionally entering into relationships to help people trust and follow Jesus

As you come to follow Jesus,  connect with a Congregation of believers.  You learn and grow and have others by your side to help encourage you.  As you grow in your relationship with Jesus you can engage a Community of believers and get connected into a group of some kind to have deeper and more authentic conversations.

We then encourage people to be changed by Jesus so much so that you want to help others have the same life-change you have experienced, the next level is to join or start your own Disciple-Making group which is the Core circle.  This is intentionally reading through God's word, with others to grow in relationship with God and those with whom you have honest and transparent conversations.

Then fueled by this growth, reach out to the City around you to serve and reach out to those in need but also share the love of Jesus as you go!

Practically Speaking, a Disciple-Making Group (D-Group) is a gender-specific, closed group of 3-5 believers that meet weekly for approximately one year for accelerated spiritual transformation.  The Image above shows what the members commit to weekly in their personal lives and how God can grow them in these areas over time.

If you would like to talk in more detail about starting your own D-Group or at the possibility of joining one you can click the button below and we would love to have that conversation with you!
