Baptism
At Journey we practice believer’s baptism by immersion. Baptism is a beautiful picture of uniting with Jesus in death, burial and resurrection and reflects our decision to follow Him.

AN OVERVIEW OF BAPTISM
What is baptism?
1. A public pronouncement of your faith
- Displaying your faith to others.
Acts 18:8: "Crispus, the synagogue leader, and his entire household believed in the Lord; and many of the Corinthians who heard Paul believed and were baptized."
2. It represents a break from the past and an entrance into a new life.
2 Corinthians 5:17: "We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."

3. It signifies a union with Christ.
- Think of the imagery of a wedding ring
Romans 6: 3 "Or don't you know that all of is who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 5 "For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his."
